The “LS” series linear stage line was designed and built from the ground up at Phase Automation. Our LS series linear stages from deliver outstanding performance, reliability and precision. Based on modular design concepts, the LS line gives the end user a high degree of flexibility when using standard models as well as opening up the door for custom lengths and applications where necessary. The main housing is quite robust in design and construction. Made from extruded 6061 aluminum with integrated fixture points, cable track, cap and bearing retainers as well as extra material in critical areas to insure ease of customization. The steel carriage is designed to be ultra rigid without being overweight and comes standard with 6 threaded holes on the mounting pad area. Additional mounting holes or fixture points are available as options and the carriage is available as a custom part- to suit your specific application.

Common to all linear stage modules is the main profile, the guideways, carriage, bearing set and end caps. All LS series modules employ ball screw and servo drive systems which of course vary by length and desired drive power ratings.

LS-150
150mm servo-drive linear stage. Full aluminum profile outer housing with internal precision linear guideways. Driven by a smooth operating ball screw, coupled to a 100 watt servo motor. Excellent load ratings and outstanding precision for industrial automation applications. Compatible with most industrial accessories for easy application. Well suited for robotic, pick and place or load transfer applications.

LS-150 HP
Similar construction and features to the LS-150, with a 200 watt servo motor to handle higher loads or linear velocity. The LS-150 HP is excellent for Z axis or short run positioning for automated carriers, laser or water-jet cutter heads etc. LS-150HP is available with gear reduced drive for additional hold / station keeping and torque capabilities.

Excellent load ratings and outstanding precision for industrial automation applications. Compatible with most industrial accessories for easy application. Well suited for robotic, pick and place or load transfer applications. The LS-650 HP is also ideal for use in situations where higher loading or inertial forces impact the accuracy of a given axis. Custom end caps available to allow conversion to gantry type application to support higher vertical loads.

Custom Linear Stages Custom length linear stages up to 4 meters in length with a variety of servo drive systems are available on request. We recommend gantry type configuration for linear stages over 650mm effective travel due to vertical or horizontal loading at end of stroke. Phase Automation offers a wide variety of ball screw configuration and pitch options as well as alternative drive configurations such as Gilmer type, pinion and others. Servo motors from 100 watts to 500 watts are available for the LS series linear stage line.
