Phase Automation expanding- New facility to open in Manila, Philippines

Phase Group is proud to announce that our automation division will be expanding to a newly acquired facility just outside of the metro Manila area in the late summer of 2008. This expansion means extended capacity for automation, prototyping and fabrication while maintaining the existing infrastructure at the Shenzhen headquarters.

The Phase Group President, Phil Bunch recently released the following commentary. "The move to Manila has been in the planning stage for some time now and the decision was made in the spring of 2008 to make the move in the fourth quarter of 2008. Obviously, the business climate in China, especially the south China area, is changing rapidly and we feel that it is in the best interests of our customers as well as our corporate group to expand our presence into the Philippines. This is particularly true for our US based clients who enjoy a significant tax break on products and equipment imported from the Philippines. We look at this move to further solidify our technical and manufacturing capabilities while at the same time allowing us to better protect our intellectual property. With the ever growing trend toward robotics and more advanced products, the move to Manila comes at a perfect time for our Automation Group.
